Lviv has always been famous for its coffee. It is known that in 1683 French-Galician Yuri Kulchitsky founded the first coffeehouse in Vienna and one of the first in Europe - "Hof zur Blauen Flasche". Since then - whether that Yuri Kulchitsky was born in Lviv, either because the coffee tradition quickly came to the city, and well settled here - Lions ever won fame coffee capital of Galicia.

Since 2007 coffee culture promotes Lviv city festival coffee. During the festival, anyone can make a coffee tour the city taking part in a festive competition and taste "festival" coffee. All cafes, exclusive members preparing coffee varieties and recipes to create a real holiday delight for the customers. Bathed in the aroma of coffee, you can savor and enjoy drinks communication - essential attributes of the coffee culture of the city.
